At Brooklyn Click + Connect, we believe in the power of LEGO to inspire creativity, promote problem-solving, and increase self-confidence. We celebrate and encourage creativity and outside-the-box thinking. We use an inclusive, strengths-based, and interest-based approach to learning and play, centering the interests and passions of students to promote engagement and social connection.

Jessie Hartman, Owner

Jessie is a local parent and a seasoned pediatric occupational therapist with over 16 years of experience working in public schools. She credits her children and students for introducing her to the immense power of LEGO as a modality for creative expression, problem-solving, and social connection.

After winning the runner-up prize in the 2023 Brooklyn Public Libary PowerUp Business Plan Competition for her LEGO business and running LEGO classes out of her home, she is thrilled to offer a dedicated space for LEGO enthusiasts to come together, inspire one another, and be awesome.

Davy Lazar, Assistant Teacher

Davy is musician and educator based in Brooklyn. For the last 15 years, alongside his own creative endeavors, he’s sought to help students of all ages engage and deepen their relationship with creative thinking. Whether in private music lessons, classroom settings, day camps or childcare, his aim is always to guide students’ ideas and encourage new connections through problem solving and self expression.

Nikolai Mizhen, Assistant Teacher

Nikolai is a local artist with 5 years experience working with kids. from babysitting to summer camp art barns. He is committed to ensuring kids can express their truest silliest most joyful and creative selves.
